Version 3.00 adds Intel Core 2 processor support, System Stability Test with thermal solution check,
Smart Battery information, revamped EVEREST CPUID Panel and several minor improvements.
LAVAL, CANADA, June 27, 2006 – Lavalys Inc., a leader in IT management solutions for both individuals and enterprises, announced today the next milestone in PC diagnostics and benchmarking software with the introduction of EVEREST Ultimate Edition (EVEREST UE) version 3.00. This release is available in 34 languages and contains significant enhancements to the company’s flagship product.
Strong of its new and previously established partnerships with hardware industry leaders Corsair Memory, NVIDIA, Abit, ATI and Matrox amongst others, the company is confident this release of EVEREST UE includes the most comprehensive and accurate system information engine to date.
“Those partnerships combined with our existing experience in the field not only ensures that EVEREST UE remains ahead of the competition but also add improved capabilities for the product to support new hardware before it hits the public which is definitely a big plus for our users as they can be now more confident than ever that no matter how new their computer is, EVEREST UE will detect all of its components”, said Roger Marion, President and Chief Executive Officer. “This can be experienced right away since EVEREST UE 3.00 already supports Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core 2 Extreme and Intel Xeon 5100 Series processors which are scheduled for release later this summer.”
This release also introduces a new module called System Stability Test which enables users to stress test their system’s memory, CPU, FPU and local disks simultaneously in real time through a completely visual interface. Through this new and unique feature, users can easily verify if their system works as expected as well as determine if the system’s thermal solution is adequate; both under factory default or overclocked settings. It is quite a powerful addition to EVEREST UE which is sure to help our users push their systems to the limit and help them establish the level of overclocking and tweaking their machine can handle.
Those often on the road and mobile technology users in general will be happy to hear that this release also introduces Smart Battery information and better support for Dell and Toshiba notebooks. Depending on the type of battery, EVEREST UE can now display the battery’s model, manufacturer, charge/discharge rate, charge/discharge cycle count and more importantly its wear level to eliminate bad surprises and help decide when the battery should be replaced.
Other new features and enhancements in EVEREST Ultimate Edition 3.00 include:
- Revamped and redesigned EVEREST CPUID panel
- Wider support for SpeedStep, PowerNow! and Cool’n’Quiet enabled systems
- Improved Cache & Memory Benchmark
- CPU diode temperature measurement for the latest AMD and Intel processors
