The COOLPIX S500 combines 7.1 megapixels and a high-performance image-processing engine with a 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens* for outstanding clarity and true-to-life colour.

Superior Nikon engineering equips the camera with a slim lens design, featuring image-stabilizing optical lens shift Vibration Reduction (VR). Custom built for the COOLPIX S500, lens shift VR compensates for camera shake in order to produce the sharpest possible images, even when shooting in lower light. The camera’s extended light sensitivity up to ISO 2000 prevents blurred shots in lower light, or when capturing fast-moving subjects.
