One of the games I’ve been looking most forward to this past year is Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs. I tend to be a sucker for open-world games in general, but when ridiculous hacking abilities are tossed-in, the only fear I have is losing an embarrassing amount of time to it. It’s one of the few games where I’ve actually watched a bunch of trailers before the launch, and I can say that if it lives up to what’s been released up to this point, it’s going to be GOTY material.
NVIDIA understands the hype around this game well, and worked with Ubisoft to bring some PC-exclusive (well, NVIDIA-exclusive) graphical features to the game, such as NVIDIA HBAO+ and TXAA Anti-aliasing. Understanding that not every NVIDIA fan out there could currently take advantage of these features, the company has kicked-off a promotion that will see the game included with select GPUs for free – GeForce GTX 660 and higher.
As with all promotions, I’d recommend you scour the page you’re purchasing a card from for explicit mention of the promotion, else it might be hard or impossible to fix it afterwards.
Not sure if you need a graphics update? NVIDIA’s released a GPU Analyzer for the game which will tell you.
