As someone who loves to record video of their gameplay to share with other people, and not to mention for nostalgia’s sake in the future, I’ve become a big fan of NVIDIA’s ShadowPlay feature in its GeForce Experience app. As long as it’s running in the background, you’ll never have to worry about failing to save an important moment – unless, of course, the excitement is too grand and causes a memory lapse.
With certain titles, though, that might not even be an issue. Such as Lawbreakers, which is the first game to make use of NVIDIA’s ShadowPlay Highlights feature. Because Boss Key Productions designed Lawbreakers to support Highlights, there are a number of occasions in the game that will cause video to be automatically recorded. Get a quad-kill? Don’t fret: the video has been recorded, and you can keep on slaying.

Highlights gives full control to the user over which videos will be stored. Some might not feel like recording double kills to be that worthwhile, whereas bigger sprees would be. After each match, the game will present a carousel of videos and screenshots that will allow the user to share any one of them to a social service before the next round begins. With Highlights, ShadowPlay continues to get even better, and more full-featured.
The brand-new GeForce driver (384.94) isn’t just about Lawbreakers, though. Also included is Ansel support for the mega-popular ARK: Survival Evolved, as well asĀ Dark and Light.
The 384.94 Game Ready driver also introduces official Fortnite support, despite the game still being in early access. NVIDIA recommends a GTX 1060 for 1080p/60, GTX 1070 for 1440p, and says that a 1080 Ti will “suffice” for 4K (some details will have to be lowered to assure a constant 60 FPS).

NVIDIA is taking the opportunity of this driver launch to tell the world that copies of Mass Effect: Andromeda are up for grabs to GeForce Experience users. All you need to do is sign up for the service and check on August 1 to see if you’ve won. You should probably do this anyway considering the number of prizes NVIDIA has handed out over the past year. Its words: “Dating back to July 2016, NVIDIA has thanked their loyal GeForce Experience gamers by giving away: limited edition GeForce GTX replica USB thumb drives, MSI VR-Ready Notebooks, HTC Vive Systems, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPUs, SHIELD Android TVs, and full versions of Overwatch, Gear of War 4, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Watch Dogs 2, For Honor, and more.” Just a couple of things, then.
