NVIDIA has just released its latest GeForce beta driver, version 285.27. The major focus here is SLI-related performance improvements, with gains of up to 13% being seen when using dual GTX 580s. The 13% boost affects Metro 2033, while Call of Duty: Black Ops, Civilization V, Crysis 2, F1 2010, Lost Planet 2, Mafia II, STALKER: Call of Pripyat, and StarCraft II will see performance gains of 5~8%.
Similar gains can also be seen with the GTX 560 under SLI, with STALKER: Call of Pripyat seeing the biggest gain of 11%. You can expect to see gains with other titles of 4~7%.
For those using 3D Vision, this beta driver adds profiles for Aion, Diablo 3, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Defense of the Ancients 2, From Dust, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2, Last Remnant, Men of War: Assault Squad and Stock Car. Dirt 3 at the same time as seen its 3D Vision support upgraded to ‘Excellent’.
