NZXT might be best-known for its chassis line-up, but over the years, the company has introduced other product lines that help gamers and enthusiasts trick out their PC to their liking. While the company has been a little limited in the cooling department, offering only fans and notebook coolers, with its release of the HAVIK 140, NZXT finally enters the CPU cooling market.
While its name is a little strange, the cooler itself isn’t. In fact, it looks to be one of the most elegant solutions I’ve seen in a while, both in overall design and aesthetics. Featuring a 100% soldered copper base, the HAVIK 140 has a heatsink fin design that we’re used to seeing, but pushes a total of six heatpipes up through them for the ultimate in heat dissipation. Coupled with dual 140mm fans equipped with patented fins, it has the potential to raise the eyebrows of the well-established competition.
According to NZXT, the fans, featuring a wavy fin design that “slices” air, operate at a quiet 27.8 dBA while pushing a huge amount of airflow, 90.3 CFM. Those are some impressive specs, and based on them, the cooler would allow some serious cooling ability for gamers and offer such quiet operation that any other system component should be easier heard.
Carrying a retail price of $74.99, the HAVIK 140 sure is an ambitious first cooler from NZXT, but if it lives up to its performance claims, it could become the next must-have air solution.
The CPU is one of the most important components of the PC for smooth performance, and keeping it cool is the way to achieve flawless performance. NZXT presents Havik CPU Cooler, the one to achieve maximum cooling, optimal performance for your CPU, and epic wins for you. Havik possesses six 6mm heat pipes with dual standard 140mm fans along with 100% soldered, quality nickel plated copper base and aluminum fins for the efficient conductivity. The unique fan blades provide excellent airflow and quiet operation while the newly patented heatsink fins exceptionally slice passing air for increased ventilation and reduced noise. Don’t let the cpu wreak havoc in your pc – wreak havoc in game.
