NZXT Launches ‘HUE’ RGB LED Controller

NZXT has long been offering elegant fan controlling solutions for the PC, but where controllers in general are concerned, NZXT has had bigger plans. That’s been proven with the just-launched HUE “RGB LED Controller”, a 3.5″ front-bay peripheral that allows you to tweak the LED lighting in your PC to any color you can imagine, and also configure how it’s displayed. Of course, like most NZXT peripherals, the unit itself only adds to the aesthetic value of your PC.

With the controller comes 2 meters of LED sleeving, which can route around the interior of your PC any way you want it to. Once connected to the bay, which is powered by a SATA cable, you’re good to roll. In use, you’ll be able to adjust the RGB knobs to get the color you want, and also adjust the brightness, mode (normal, fade, flash and pulsate) and, for when it’s bed time, turn the lighting off entirely.

The HUE isn’t super-cheap at $33, but the fact that it includes 2 meters worth of LED sleeving definitely helps make up for it. Now, with NZXT having made many a fan controller in its day, and now an RGB controller, who wants to take a guess at when we’ll see a combination of the two products? I give it six months!
