Our Core i7-980X Gaming PC Contest is a Wrap!

Welp, we’ve wrapped up our two recent major contests, and now I feel like I can breathe again! Last month, we offered up a stellar gaming PC with all the accessories to one lucky winner, and this past week, we picked a winner for our Core i7-980X gaming PC. Huge thanks once again to our great sponsors for both contests, especially Intel which had a big part in both of them.

The winner of the Core i7-980X gaming PC is “thehailo“, who is truly stoked that he’ll have a sweet PC to use in the near-future. He’ll be upgrading from a lowly AMD 64 X2 4800+, so the performance difference is bound to blow him right out of his chair. At least hopefully! Congrats thehailo, and be sure to post some pictures of the PC once it’s up in action!

For those who didn’t win, don’t worry, we’re planning to hold regular contests going forward. There will be few of this magnitude, but we’ll definitely have those from time to time. In order to hold more regular contests, we’d like to focus on components and other things, and individual prizes, rather than a single monolithic prize (that way, there’s more than just a single winner).

Also, since I haven’t heard back from the winner of our birthday contest, I may have to re-draw a name later this week, so stay tuned, and good luck on the second-go-round!
