With digital camera technology increasing ever so fast, where
it is no longer uncommon to have at least five mega-pixels, and some
digital SLR models going beyond ten mega-pixels, storage capacity often
becomes a great concern when dealing with such high-quality imagery.
Whether your into high-end photography or are just looking to take a
great deal of photographs, with us today we have the 150X ProMax 1GB
Secure Digital card from ATP Electronics.

This weekend brings to the table a review of one of XFX’s XGear products in the form of their new Multimedia Headset that offers static feedback in the earpiece of the headphones similar to the same concept as force feedback in joysticks and game pads. Ben Sun takes a whirl with these bad boys and gives us an honest opinion of this new and interesting audio product.

This review is going to be taking a look at Epower’s Silent Engine Tiger 550W power supply unit. This product has all the buzzwords that consumers are looking for in a PSU right now, like SLI, modular, SATA and so on, so it is worth a look. We’ll see if it could ever be a threat to PSU powerhouse’s like Antec and Enermax. If you are looking for a solid power supply without having to pay a lot for the name, this could be a great choice.

The Foxconn C51GK8MA, priced at around £65 in the retail channel, offers the ideal combination of GeForce 6150 IGP and nForce4 430 southbridge in a microATX-sized form-factor. Board layout and BIOS options were both surprisingly good, and the latter was a real bonus for a form-factor that usually is bereft of any tweaking ability whatsoever.

If you take a look around, there is a growing trend in the Power Supply industry. Bigger, more powerful power supplies are being introduced all the time. Is there really a need for them? I guess in the hardcore enthusiast segment there is, but how many hardcore enthusiasts are there out there? I can guess that most of the computers out there today are pre-built systems from the big computer companies, like Dell and Hp to name the biggest. There are many others out there that are trying to get their part of the pie.

There is clearly a benefit in using this desk and I was nicely supprised with a drop of nearly 10c on load which is excellent when you think about it. How many people have or in my case had a notebook cooler. Big is what they are when compared to this and they gain the same temp improvements but need power for the fan.

I think Logitech is moving in the right direction in developing this wireless communication extension of the PC however I feel this will really only attract a niche market of consumers. Overall the MX610 is a solid unit with features that will be loved by people that need some downtime from the computer without completely sacrificing being ‘connected’.

The biggest drawback from the Lexcool XC-801 is the mounting issues
that I ran into but I have a very simple solution to alleviate the pressure
on the motherboard and to make mounting a lot easier….The fan does turn
rather fast and is quite loud at this speed and a fan controller would
really add to the value of this cooler. The cooling abilities of the XC-801
speak for themselves on the previous page and I was quite impressed with the
results.
Wow, I have not seen a CPU cooler like this before. Does the radical design do a great job? Check out the review at Overclockers Online.

The VapoChill Micro is the first shot at air cooling by Asetek, and it is one of the better CPU coolers in the market right as we speak. Asetek VapoChill Micro is lightweight, small size and its main advantage is its low noise operation. Silent PC enthusiasts will certainly find excellent noise over performance ration with this cooler. The small size of VapoChill Micro allows easy installation; it saves space and has lesser incompatibility issues on most motherboards. If you are looking for a silent high end CPU cooler, you should seriously consider Asetek’s latest product, the VapoChill Micro, which will cost roughly about 54USD. We gave Gold Award for this product because it can catch up with a few heat pipe coolers, without any noticeable noise, incompatibility issue or running into sophisticated installation process.

Lost Coast was dominated by the X800GTO, but we didn’t experience image quality improvements when enabling the enhanced clock speeds. If you disregard the X800GTO, because it is clearly in a league of its own, the GeForce 6800 Std and 6600 GT performed as well as the two X800GT configurations that we’ve evaluated here. There was very little between the two mid-range NVIDIA parts and the two X800GT configurations and you’d be hard pushed to pick second place behind the GTO.

affordable range, but the overclocking results didn’t look very promising.

This is clearly a budget case; however, it has lots of great features. It comes with one 120mm fan & an optional 120mm fan can be installed at the front. Installing this optional fan is strongly recommended for optimal air flow inside the case. It also comes with lots of drive bays & has a tool-less design for the drive bays & expansion slots. Additionally, it has an easy to access Firewire port, 2 USB ports, mic & headphone jack. Watch the Video to find out more…

The ASRock 939Dual-SATA 2 motherboard we’re testing here is a socket 939 AMD Athlon64 solution which incorporates a special slot for a daughter card that will in the near future support the upcoming Socket M2 AMD Athlon64 processor and its allotment of DDR-2 memory. Both the Socket M2 AMD processor and the necessary ASRock daughter card are not currently available, but the CPU is expected in Q2 of 2006 so the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 is certainly forward-looking. ASRock takes the worry out of things with its new 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard. The motherboard boasts the ULi M1695 Northbridge (1 GHz 16/16 HTT connection to the CPU) and ULi M1567 Southbridge which support any current Socket 939 AMD Athlon64/FX/X2 processor.

Like many people, I once had an iPod. After selling my 20GB off many moons
ago due to the inadequate storage, I decided to build and install a complete
PC into my car as the iPod’s replacement. The car that I currently own is a
1993 Volvo 850GLT. While it isn’t exactly anyone’s dream car, my Volvo is a
reliable and solid means of transportation that’s served me well over the
course of its lifetime.

There is plenty of room inside the Xion II for what ever you might decide you need to install and where to hide the cables at. The two 120mm fans and the 80mm fan really pulls a lot of air across the PC at a noise level that will not make you insane. Plus the 450 watt power supply that comes with it seems up to the job to keeping your power hungry components happy. After a day of monitoring the power consumption the +12V averaged in at 12.6V, the +5V was running at 4.95V, and the 3.3V was at 3.312V…

4.- juanflaiter: A good portion of a video card’s (or in your case a physics card) price is the onboard memory. Could it be possible to implement shared memory architecture with either the main memory or GPU memory?
MH: Although technically feasible, the benefit is not meaningful either in cost or performance. For the gamer who wants the best system, limiting GPU memory or stealing main memory just means the system isn’t the highest level system. Also, shared memory means that bandwidth is shared and will most likely lower performance. This tradeoff might be good for a mainstream product down the road, but not a performance product.
This is an interesting interview, although nothing much has changed since our interview with them back in July. It’s really great to see AGEIA’s PhysX bing used in a lot more places than just games though, such as 3D Studio Max. Check out the full interview at Overclockers.cl.

The world’s biggest software company and second-largest video game console maker behind Sony Corp. (6758.T) has said it expects 15 to 20 games on the market for the North American debut of its next-generation game player on November 22.
It looks like PGR3 and PD: Zero will both likely hit launch. This is great, because I was hoping to pick both of them up that day. Especially since PGR3 will likely be the first 360 “Killer-App”, it would help the launch if it did hit the date. Check out more info at Yahoo.

AMD has recently dominated the gaming segment, thanks to NVIDIA, their nForce4 SLI chipset, and the power of the A64 FX processor. During that time, the Intel camp has had little to cheer about, with Intel gamers forced to rely solely on single graphics card solutions. They could only watch as AMD users walked on by in fps performance. NVIDIA recently shook up that status quo by introducing NVIDIA SLI to the Intel market.

Once again RaidMax has offered up a solid performing case with an excellent fit and finish. The power supply and AGP/PCI expansion card locking system are both improved over previous models and the Ninja 918 has a stylish look that will attract attention without being over done.
Wow, I like the look of this case. It reminds me of the Logisys Case51W but on steroids. Check out the full review at Big Bruin.

The performance is the real story, as the asetek VapoChill Micro excelled in our testing, specifically when used with their Extreme Performance fan. Yes, it is noisy, but if you want to sacrifice a bit of cooling, by all means go for the Low Noise setup.
