In what could be its most elaborate marketing video to date, NVIDIA paid a visit to Gearbox Software to get a full tour by CEO Randy Pitchford – and as if that wasn’t enough, they traveled on over to his home to get another full tour and check out some of his PCs and other gaming gear. It’s worth a watch:
Ultimately, the goal of the video is to help promote NVIDIA’s upcoming SHIELD gaming handheld, and Randy does a great job touting its best features (especially the ability to use it while on the loo). In the video, Randy’s wife is controlling Borderlands 2 on a PC about 20 feet away, while she sits down on the couch. And likewise, Randy’s children are also using SHIELD in a similar way. In his personal test, every action on SHIELD immediately reflected itself on the PC behind him, with no noticeable lag whatsoever.
Apart from that, the video will make you drool if you’re either a Borderlands 2 or computer hardware fan – and probably drop a jaw if you happen to be a fan of both.
