Earlier this month, we posted about NVIDIA’s ‘GAME24’ event, one that will celebrate all things PC gaming. Given the timing, it goes without saying that this event will involve NVIDIA’s next-generation graphics cards, and with that, one thing should be obvious: There will be ways to win NVIDIA’s next-generation graphics cards.
Locations include Los Angeles, Mission Viejo, Chicago, Indianapolis, Shanghai, Stockholm, and London, so if you live near one of these cities, you should definitely make an effort to attend in person. If you can’t, you can still tune in live, and if I understand things correctly, doing so could still net you a chance at winning some prizes.
If you haven’t already, you can register for the event at GAME24.nvidia.com. Both Greg and Tom will be at the Indianapolis event, along with our friend Wes from LanOC Reviews. You’ll probably be able to smell the fried microchips off them from a mile away, so definitely say hi if you see them.
Of all the events that will be going on though, it seems certain that the Los Angeles one will be the coolest one to attend. NVIDIA has shot us a note to let us know that many stars will be making an appearance, including Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob), Chloe Dykstra (Cosplayer), Grand Imahara (Mythbusters), and Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy). A panel will also be present, involving Tiffany Smith, Zach Selwyn, Alison Haislip, Alex Albrecht, Kristin Adams, Chris Gore and Blair Butler.
As for tie-in events, NVIDIA’s touting this:
- New products announcements from NVIDIA and game publishers
- A DOTA 2 Invitational tournament featuring professional teams including Evil Geniuses, Cloud 9, Team Tinker, and Alliance competing for a share of $15,000 in prizes.
- Mod24, the world’s first 24-hour livestreamed modding completion will also be held. Renowned modders Team Mongoose, BSMODS, and Team Kill Ninja will be at NVIDIA HQ in Santa Clara, California doing the onsite build. Viewers of the live stream will be the judges and three lucky winners will take home these one of a kind builds.
- Two world records will be broken!
- And many more surprises!
Enough said. This is an event you’ll want to be at, if at all possible.
