I admit that I haven’t had a great opinion on Rockstar Games for a while, what with Red Dead Redemption never coming to the PC and Grand Theft Auto IV being a buggy mess at launch. But, for better or for worse, the company has been wearing my angst down with Grand Theft Auto V for the PC, because it actually seems to be trying to deliver an epic experience on the platform.
It’s no secret that Rockstar loves consoles, and PCs have been the red-deaded step child that gets hand-me-downs. But with GTA V, perhaps that won’t matter, because this hand-me down is actually an upgrade. Rockstar has beefed the graphics up, and overall, it looks great, but more importantly, PC gamers can enjoy the game at 60 FPS. That’s a point that the company is actually stressing, as at the beginning of its just-released trailer, it asks you to use a modern browser in order to experience the video in its true glory (60 FPS).
GTA V for the PC could be something special. Let’s hope it proves to be. Are you going to be playing the game at launch?
