Grand Theft Auto IV might have just come out three years ago, but fans of the series have grown anxious at the fact that Rockstar hasn’t announced its next iteration. Until today, of course – as the title suggests. Catering to the frustrating tradition of giving gamers no information whatsoever right off-the-bat, Rockstar replaced its entire website with a simple splash page of the game logo – along with mention of a trailer becoming available on November 2.
And… that’s all there is to know. But the fact that the game has been confirmed is a welcomed one, as I was beginning to wonder if somehow Rockstar had no plans to follow-up to its monstrously-successful series – one that pretty-well turned the company into what it is today.
What city will it be based in? Will it come to PC at the same time as the consoles, or be pushed back six months as has become the custom? Are we still going to be able to steal cars?! There are so many questions, and no answers. Until November 2, that is. And so I wait, with baited breath.
