Second Time’s the Charm: BlackBerry Rolls-out BBM App for iPhone and Android

Do you miss the days of old where you could tell your peeps to hit you up on your BBM? Do you avoid unattractive friends so as to have a perfect-looking contacts screen? If so, BlackBerry’s just-(re)released BBM app for Android and iOS was made just for you (and a couple of million others).

The launch of BBM for these mobile platforms has been a little rough, with people having a hard time sending their messages or connecting to the required servers in general. As odd as it is, these hassles are almost a good thing for RIM, as it shows some insane demand for BBM on non-BlackBerry platforms. We’d imagine that all of these issues will be ironed-out soon.

With the BBM app, you can chat with friends, team up and collaborate, create a unique profile, send pictures, send voice notes and perhaps most exciting of all, invite other friends to the service.
