The Xbox One isn’t even available for public consumption yet, but lo and behold, there’s already a special edition model floating around. The upside is that it looks a lot cooler than the standard black Xbox One. The downside is that you’re not going to be able to buy one any time soon (if at all).
No, these special editions are destined for employees on Microsoft’s Xbox team, or more specifically, “full time employees in the Interactive Entertainment Business group”, according to Forbes. It’s been rumored elsewhere that these employees will also receive the entire collection of first-party launch titles.
If you look close, the term “I Made This” can be seen to the right of the disc slot, with what looks to be “Launch Team Xbox” underneath it. Judging by the gamepad, the buttons are a little bit brighter as well. Interestingly, the Kinect unit remains black, although I’m sure this is a detail no one who receives this console will care about.
I don’t particularly want an Xbox One, but if I did, I think I’d be lusting over this.
