Today SteelSeries is refreshing its popular Siberia series of headsets with models that cover the entire price spectrum. Yes folks, it’s audio for the masses!
Up first is the entry-level Siberia RAW Prism, which is set to weigh in at $59.99 US. It promises superb audio, 16.8 million colour options to illuminate a ring on the exterior of each cup, and on-ear mic mute controls, all while being lightweight and working in tandem with SteelSeries’ Engine 3 software.
Next comes the Siberia v3, the next iteration in what has made the Siberia series so popular. The press release claims that the soundscape has been completely redesigned this time around and is coupled with noise-reducing memory foam on the cups. Expect the v3 to retail for $99.99 US.
Moving further up the price scale finds the Siberia v3 Prism, which has everything that the aforementioned v3 does, but with customizeable ColorShift illumination effects, and different styling. It also has the added support of SteelSeries’ CloudSync to store an unlimited number of profiles, microphone noise-suppression and audio compression, and a custom equalizer. The v3 Prism will up the ante and come in at $139.99 US.
Finally, it’s the big daddy of the Siberia line up, the Siberia Elite Prism. At $199.99 US, this upgraded version of the currently available Siberia Elite has a newly designed microphone, an upgraded soundcard, adjustable ear cushioning for added comfort, all while continuing to provide Dolby Headphone and Pro Logic IIx virtual surround sound technologies.
All models will feature multi-platform compatibility so PC, Mac, and console users should all be happy come the holidays, which is when all of these models are expected to hit the street.
