Ten days after its official launch, over 165,000 downloads of SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 products
WALTHAM, Mass. – July 28, 2006 – Novell today announced that its SUSEĀ® Linux Enterprise 10, the next-generation platform for the open enterprise made available just 10 days ago, has experienced a substantial worldwide reception in the market and from the media.
- To date, over 165,000 users from around the globe have downloaded components of the SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 suite, which includes the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop products.
- Approximately 286,000 unique visitors have been to the NovellĀ® Customer Centre website to register and try out Novell’s new tools for managing subscription and software updates.
- Meanwhile, the SUSE Linux Enterprise homepage (www.novell.com/linux) has experienced over 312,000 hits in the past 10 days.
- All of this activity has cumulated in daily software downloads from Novell.com increasing by an average of 800 per cent post-launch. In all, a SUSE Linux Enterprise product has been downloaded every 5 seconds since the launch on July 17, 2006.
