Bringing affordability to entry-level users, Toshiba announces the refreshed OCZ Trion SSD. Providing 550MB/s read speeds, 530MB/s sequential writes, and random write I/O speeds of up to 91,000 IOPS, the Trion 150 series helps bring improved boot times and system responsiveness to the masses. Built with Toshiba’s 15nm Triple-Level Cell (TLC) NAND flash technology, the Trion 150 series of SSDs is an upgrade in every way over its predecessor, the Trion 100.
The Trion 150 SSD is available in capacities of 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB. Additionally, Trion 150 SSDs provide plenty of longevity for users, with up to 240TB total bytes written (TBW), providing peace of mind for those that adopt the SSD for their own systems.
“Our Trion 100 series solid state drives quickly became a top seller for us and are popular among end users seeking a performance boost over hard drives at a very reasonable price,” said Steve Fingerhut, Sr. Vice President and GM of SSD BU, at Toshiba America Electronics Corporation. “We are continually looking for ways to improve both SSD real world performance and value to end users and are pleased to introduce the new Trion 150 series which leverages the latest Toshiba 15nm Triple-Level Cell NAND flash to deliver an even better storage solution for value oriented mobile and desktop users.”
Available now, the Trion 150 is covered by OCZ’s ShieldPlus Warranty for a period of three years.
