If there’s one thing that Thermaltake’s Tt eSPORTS gaming peripheral lineup proves, it’s that there are many different ways to design a product. On the gaming headset front, the company offers at least 7 base models, and what must be 50 different variants of those. It’s not that often that a brand-new model enters the arena, though, so that by itself amps up the intrigue of the company’s just-announced VERTO.
The biggest feature that helps to set the VERTO apart from Tt’s other gaming headsets is its auto-adjusting headband – perfect for no-hassle comfort. As it is, the only other Tt eSPORTS model to implement this feature is Shock Spin. For increased comfort beyond this, Thermaltake has given VERTO protein leather earcups, a material designed to be more comfortable than other fake leathers, and compared to fabric earcups, they’re probably a lot cooler, too.
For easier transport, VERTO features a “fold-flat” design, which means that the earpieces fold in, allowing them to take up far less space in a bag or backpack – not to mention be safer during bumps, as well. Enhancing that aspect further and tying into another feature, the cable is removable. The main reason for this design is that Thermaltake bundles in both the device’s main cable (which has audio I/O cables as well as an inline volume control), and another one to be used for mobile use. You can of course use the regular cable for mobile use, but it’d make for a clunkier setup.
Some technical specs: VERTO offers a frequency range of 10Hz~22KHz, an impedance of 32 ohms, noise sensitivity of 98dBA @ 1KHz, a 40mm neodymium driver in each cup, an omnidirectional microphone, as well as noise-canceling capabilities. On the hardware side, a carrying bag is included in the box (a really nice touch).
Thermaltake is pricing its VERTO at $79.99 USD. We’d expect it to hit the store shelves within the next month.
