When a game developer hits the big leagues, there’s one thing that’s sure to happen – an office makeover. Some hard-ass developers might keep things traditional, but a company like Valve, which obviously has a good sense of humor and taste, it can make an office look cooler and more comfortable than a house. The folks over at The Penny Arcade Report recently traveled to Bellevue, Washington to check out Valve’s HQ, and what they found is something… wow.

Throughout the entire building are visual cues to Valve’s various franchises, and there’s even a real valve installed in the floor not far from the entrance. The first eye-catching piece is a large, long interesting banner that states the company name. Upon further inspection, though, you can see that this banner is made up of hundreds of different clipart objects pulled from various Valve titles.
Other notable features of Valve HQ include a wall featuring magazine covers of gaming publications that featured a Valve game on the cover, a large shelf featuring a copy of every Valve game ever released, and seemingly different editions of each, walls of artwork, valve coat hooks and… so, so much more.
For a Valve fan, visiting the company’s HQ would be like a dream come true. Not bad for a company that has re-used its game engine for a decade and has completely ignored its original franchise for years, huh? Jab.
