Sometimes, the simplest easter eggs are the best. Since Valve’s latest Steam sale began, there’s been a featured game at the top, and a related summer camp card to the right. Well, behind that card is another, which I’m sure many of you have noticed. What a lot of you might not have noticed, though, is that the background card is what’s going to be featured next. Want to predict the future?
Eagle-eyed Reddit user touchenough6 noticed that the background card wasn’t a mere snippet, but rather due to how the webpage is designed, the entire card actually loads in your browser. Thus, you should be able to simply click on it and drag it into your address bar, or right-click it and open it in a new tab. In this particular example, Football Manager 2013 was the currently featured game, and behind that card, Dead Island: Riptide. Was that in fact the next game up in queue? You bet.
A simple easter egg, but a cool one nonetheless. It sure beats having to see Left 4 Dead 2 go on sale for the hundredth time, right?
