Portal 2 On Sale for $30 at Amazon

In a surprise move by Amazon, Portal 2 is on sale for $30 right now. For a game that was just launched two weeks ago (read our review), this is surprising. Especially so considering the overwhelming positive reception it has received from players and critics alike – if the Metacritic score of 95 wasn’t enough to go by. If you were waiting to save a few bucks before buying the game, then this may be your best chance for a while, as we expect this deal will be hard to beat for some time.

As we’ve already mentioned in our forums, Portal 2 owners can expect at least a few free DLC updates to the game along a similar vein to how Valve provided updates with Left 4 Dead, L4D2, and Team Fortress 2. The first DLC update is expected to drop over the summer and will include new test chambers, leaderboards, and some sort of challenge mode for both single and multiplayer. Don’t own a PC copy? Don’t fret, DLC #1 will be free of charge for the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3.
