Those who followed our CES news posts back in January, will undoubtedly recall the announcement of ROCCAT’s first mechanical gaming keyboards, the Ryos line. Those who have been eagerly waiting to get their hands on one of these beauties are now in luck, ROCCAT has shipped the Ryos MK and the Ryos MK Glow, both available at online retailers. Unfortunately, the Ryos MK Pro will not be available for purchase any sooner than mid November.
The Ryos, no matter what version you get, come out swinging with features that many mechanical keyboards don’t come close to offering. The biggest among them is ROCCAT’s Easy-Shift[+], this allows any key on the keyboard to have an additional function attached. This gives you the possibility of having over 500 different macros.
There are of course key differences between the keyboards themselves. The Pro version has many hardware features and a few software that sets it apart from the pack in several way. Such as there is a USB 2.0 Hub, Per-Key-Lighting (when running a macro it will light up each key while running) and audio jacks. The Pro version also provides the SDK so for those looking to create their own software to take advantage of this boards features, you will have that opportunity here. These features also cost you quite a bit more, where the MK is $99.99 and the MK Glow is $139.99, the Pro is $169.99.
