AMD Wants to Give You Free Games with its ‘Never Settle’ Promotion

Looking to pick up a new graphics card to help you play the holiday’s biggest hits? If so, AMD wants you to go Radeon, and it’s willing to offer you a ridiculous deal to make sure you do. Dubbed the “Never Settle” promotion, AMD has been working with its partners to pack in a bunch of extra gaming goodness to make sure that those who choose Radeon will be able to get down to gaming right away with a new game or two. Or three.

Wait – three free games?

If you’re planning to go the HD 7900 route, then yes. You’ll not only get the excellent Sleeping Dogs for free, but also Hitman: Absolution and Far Cry 3, both of which should launch next month. As if the pot needed to be sweetened any further, AMD is also bundling in 20% off coupons for Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which releases tomorrow.

Interestingly, the deals this time around don’t affect only single GPU purchases, but dual-GPU as well. If you pick up two HD 7800s, you’ll get all of the same games as above, except Sleeping Dogs. Any configuration you go with is going to net you some free goods, though. Even the ~$130 HD 7770 GHz Edition will get you Far Cry 3.

Some might consider this a sign of desperation from AMD, but given the fact that its cards are compelling on their own, I don’t think it is. Whether or not the company is making a dime off of its cards bundled with these promotions is another story. These developers sure aren’t giving their games out for free. For gamers though, these deals are seriously hard to beat.
