Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen Duke Nukem Forever get a release date, and have also seen previews posted around the Web. So far, those previews seem to have mixed reaction, but one thing’s for certain… this game is going to demand attention when it’s released, and it seems unlikely that hardcore Duke fans are going to be disappointed.
It’s also clear that Gearbox is going right to town with this launch, and to give Duke fans a chance at owning something a little more special at launch, the company announced the “Balls of Steel Edition” version of the game… the bundle of all ass-kicking bundles.
First, the BoS Edition includes a bust of Duke himself, perfect to keep you company on your desk or to greet people as they enter your house. There’s also a 100 page hardcover book called “History, Legacy & Legend: Duke Nukem Forever Art from the Vault” (short title, yes), a couple of postcards, a radioactive emblem sticker, comic book, foldable paper craft, two poker chips, a pair of dice, a mini-card desk and of course, the game itself.
Sounds tempting, huh? Pricing isn’t yet known, but you could probably expect it to cost around $80~$100. Final pricing should be known soon, given that the game is set to be launched in a mere two-and-a-half months.
