Following-up on its GeForce driver release in late June which enabled DirectX 12 Ultimate support with the latest Windows release, NVIDIA today introduces another updated driver packed with optimization, and not to mention a promotion revolving around it.
Death Stranding is a hit game from Hideo Kojima, following his unceremonious departure from Konami in 2015. When released for PlayStation 4 last year, Kojima proved that it didn’t matter where he’s based; his first self-published game became an instant hit, scoring well across-the-board. Now, the game is coming to PC, and like many ported AAA titles, this one promises ultrawide and high FPS support.
This PC port also happens to infuse support for NVIDIA’s DLSS 2.0, so it’s a great time to not just release a Game Ready driver for the game, but also a promotion. If you are in the market for any RTX graphics card ranging between 2060 and 2080 Ti, you’ll be able to score a free copy of the game through participating retailers. That also includes laptops, so mobile warriors should be on the lookout, as well.
In addition to optimizations for Death Stranding, the new 451.67 GeForce driver adds official support for Horizon Zero Dawn (another excellent PS4-to-PC port), as well as F1 2020. Three new G-SYNC Compatible monitors have also been added to the list, while ten titles have seen one-click optimization support added in GeForce Experience.
If you don’t happen to need a new graphics card, and just want the new driver, you can snag it right here. If you do want the promotion, it seems Newegg already has some qualifying GPUs available, while Amazon seems to be lagging behind.
