At PAX Prime 2011, which occurred this past weekend, some folks at NVIDIA managed to take the time to peruse the games on display and scored a couple of interviews with people currently working on some of the most anticipated games in the coming year. Most notably, Patrick Liu from DICE was able to talk a bit about the graphics we’ll see in Battlefield 3 – as if we needed even more reason to be excited over this one.
When asked about the system requirements for the game, Mr. Liu was unable to give specifics – but did mention that dual GeForce GTX 580s should suffice! Let’s hope so.
NVIDIA also hooked up with Borderlands 2 art director Jeremy Cook, and if I had to guess, this game is shaping up nice. It’s mentioned in the video that the enemy AI will be far more clever, and will be able to take advantage of the environment around it. Also, while only a small portion of Pandora was tackled in the original game, BL2 breaks us free and will allow us to explore much more of the planet.
A couple of other interviews include Star Wars: The Old Republic and Guild Wars 2; both great-looking games in their own right. I’m now regretting not being at PAX!
