To help launch Duke Nukem Forever in style, NVIDIA held an event appropriately called “Happy Endings” at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas, TX last week. There, both Gearbox and a sponsored PC mod were present, and to show those who weren’t there what they missed, NVIDIA has just posted a video to its YouTube page. In it, the PC’s modder gets a few words, and a quick interview with Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford is conducted.
For a Duke fan, the best part of the video might be when Duke voice-actor Jon St. John says, “This kicks ass.” in response to looking at the modded PC. Another thing I found interesting is that Randy Pitchford doesn’t only have a love for games, but also PC hardware, going on to state that his home PC features dual Core i7 processors, overclocked of course, with each running at about 50°C.
Borderlands fans might also want to pay attention to the ~1:30 mark, as fans dressed up as Moxxi and a Prisoner can also be seen. I’m a big fan of that game, but I think my love for it pales in comparison to these guys!
