When one of the hottest games of the season is about to hit the PC, you can bet on one thing: NVIDIA’s also about to drop an updated GeForce driver. As this post suggests, the company hasn’t disappointed us where Watch Dogs is concerned. If you’ll be playing the game, NVIDIA highly recommends that you upgrade to the WHQL 337.88 driver, as it improves performance right out-of-the-gate. Plus, it adds an SLI and 3D Vision profile, along with support for Surround.
The 337.88 driver has undoubtedly given some great attention to Watch Dogs, but as usual, performance improvements in other games can be seen as well. To help us better understand what kind of gains, NVIDIA’s put a GTX 750 to the test across 14 games:

For the most part, most of these gains are minor, with the major exception of Company of Heroes 2, but any gain is a good one – especially for free. Other improvements the driver brings can be read about here, along with a chart like the one above that focuses on the GTX 780 Ti.
On another note, NVIDIA has also released an in-depth performance and tweaking guide for Watch Dogs, which I highly recommend you check out if you’ll be playing the game. In particular, I’d recommend checking out the differences in AO modes, including looking at the screenshots that pits NVIDIA’s HBAO+ against the console-esque MHBAO. Suffice to say, if your PC can handle it, you’re likely to want to go the HBAO+ route.
Need a new graphics card and want Watch Dogs? NVIDIA has a promotion for you, which lasts until the end of June.
