With the release of its Core P5 last fall, Thermaltake really hit the ball out of the park for those who want a truly unique-looking PC. The company’s no stranger to crafting such chassis, as its Level 10 (and GT counterpart), designed with the help of BMW Motorworks, proved wildly successful. Compared to the Level 10, the Core P5 could be called “simple”, but it’s that simpleness that helps it stand out so much.
Building on the success of that chassis, Thermaltake now strikes with a follow-up: Core P3. As you might suspect given the naming, the Core P3 is a smaller version of the Core P5, and it doesn’t look any less awesome.
It might not look like the most versatile chassis ever, but the Core P3 actually offers the ability to orient things vertically, horizontally, or even attach it to the wall. It’d probably be best if you really know what you’re doing for the latter option – you don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night because your PC fell off the wall. I cringe just thinking about it!
While a major goal of this chassis is to look good, it’s also designed to let you configure it many different ways, and while you don’t need a proper water-cooled setup, it’s hard to deny that when one is properly configured, it can look amazing.
What I personally like most about this chassis is the airflow, especially at the bottom where a high-performance PSU will likely lay. What I don’t envy is anyone who uses this chassis in a dusty environment, as it’s bound to build up fast!
Both the white and black version of the Core P3 is set to sell for $119.99, and both should hit etail at any moment.
