If you’re a lucky owner of either the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, it’s time to open your wallet “virtually” all of the way, as Valve has just put nearly 200 VR-supported titles on sale through its Steam store. Of the 191 titles available on sale, 100% support HTC’s Vive, while 45% support Oculus’ Rift. Despite that huge delta, there’s sure to be something for every VR fan out there available at a good discount.
Even the brand-new Raw Data has been put on sale, sitting at $32 after a 20% discount. I have not played this particular title yet, but after speaking to friends who have, it seems like this is one title every Vive owner should get – especially if you love tower defense games.
Another notable sale is Virtual Desktop, which I talked about a couple of months ago. It’s only 15% off, to settle in at $13, and enjoys “Mostly Positive” reviews overall. The software might not be for everyone, but it’s one of the coolest pieces of VR software I’ve ever seen.
Select games Valve itself is highlighting include Vector 36 ($10), Kumoon VR Deluxe Edition ($4), Dogfight Elite ($10), Ruckus Ridge – VR Party Game ($10), Time Machine ($20), Insane Decay of Mind ($1.5), vrAMP ($7), Perfect Angle VR – Zen Edition ($1.5), Legend of Dungeon ($5), Nighttime Terror: Dessert Defender ($4), A Legend of Luca ($15), and Cyberpong VR ($9). All of these titles support both the Rift and Vive; for others, check out this exhaustive list.
