


Wednesday's keynote schedule may not have been as chock-full of new hardware demonstrations as Tuesday's Gelsinger-Perlmutter marathon, but it wasn’t without some excitement of its own. Here's our summary of the day's keynote speeches.
Greetings from the Fall 2008 Intel Developer Forum! Day 1 is done, and we've already heard speeches from some of the biggest names at the company, regarding new products and the company's future direction, as well as the significance of technological progress worldwide. Intel opened up about their Nehalem architecture at this summer's IDF, and while we are unable to talk about performance data, what we can talk about is of great interest. Read on as we take a brief look at Turbo Mode, HyperThreading, CPU and Memory overclocking, the triple-channel memory controller and much more.
Intel's Developer Forum ended last week, and we are now finishing up our coverage of the event with this article. To wrap things up, we are taking a look at a few things we saw on the floor including lots of DDR3, anti-cheating technology, Asetek's efficient OEM cooling and more.
During a closed-door session demonstration of Skulltrail and 45nm processors, we saw first-hand what 45nm offerings will deliver when compared to current products. We walk away with assurance that Skulltrail is extreme and also that SSE4 can make a huge impact in multi-media tasks.
