(Contest is closed. Stay tuned for winners.)
Up for grabs in our latest contest are five copies of Nero’s burning suite, 9 Reloaded. Back when CD burners were just beginning to gain some traction, the selection of burning applications was slim (the opposite is true today). Of those few, one of the better ones was Ahead’s Nero Burning ROM. Since then, much has changed. The company dropped its Ahead name in favor of “Nero”, and the suite has developed to become one of the most robust out there.
Nero’s flagship suite does a lot more than just burn discs, however. Some of the other functionality includes the ability to create CD covers, recover data from scratched discs, test your drive’s performance, recode and watch video, create your own movies, edit your music files and a whole lot more. To see all of what the suite includes, I highly recommend taking a look at the official product page.
For me personally (Rob), I quite enjoy using Nero as my personal burning suite, in either Windows or Linux. I’ve been using the suite since version 4, circa 1999, and haven’t looked back, so it’s our pleasure to be able to offer up copies to our loyal readers. We’re giving away five copies in total, and the winner will be able to choose between either a downloadable version, or a boxed copy.
How to Enter
This contest is open to the world, although countries, or cities, where contests are either barred, or require additional work on our part are not included, so please do your research before entering. One example is Quebec. If you live in such a place with strict rules, we have no problem sending the prize to a friend or family member of yours who lives elsewhere, to either retain or forward to you.
Entering is easy. Nero would love to gain some feedback from both its current users and potential customers, to better understand what it is you look for in such a burning suite, and what you’d love to see refined, or included in the future. These are the questions to be answered:
#1 – What tasks do you use your multimedia software for? Please provide top 3.
- 1. Video editing and authoring
- 2. Photo slideshows
- 3. Music ripping and burning
- 4. CD, DVD and Blu-ray Disc Burning
- 5. Ripping
- 6. Photo Editing
- 7. Backup
- 8. Other____________________
#2 – What multimedia software do you currently use?
- Adobe Premier Elements 8 or older version
- Corel Digital Studio 2010 or older version
- Cyberlink DVD Suite 7 or older version
- Nero 9 – Reloaded or older version
- Roxio Creator 2010 or older version
- Pinnacle Studio or older version
- Other____________________
#3 – Where do you live? (State or Province and Country)
To submit your responses, please take a quick moment to sign up on or forums, and PM Rob your answers to the above questions. You can either retain the structure as seen above, and put an asterisk (*) next to each answer, or remove the options that don’t apply. Though we require you to sign up in our forums, you do not have to post in order to enter, and it won’t help your chances, but we’d heartily recommend it anyway ;-).
Contest ends December 21, 11:59PM EST.
Absolutely no information aside from our three questions will be relayed to Nero, or any other entity, or used by Techgage in a less-than-desirable manner (such as spamming). Your information is safe with us.
Good luck to all who enter!
